So the Palis start the month off on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. We stayed and Terry and Lydia's place to celebrate Pat's friend Dr. Terry on his 64th birthday. The old high school chums had a ski boat party and then a great breakast at Terry's favorite place and then a little story telling then back to the south shore for Pat and Ali. Lots of bike rides and hikes. On a sad note Pat lost his ex-mother in law. Now we know that sounds funny but Pat has been blessed with the best mother in laws. Edel, Ali's mom is doing well in Modesto. Eva Lou passed away on Friday the 13th. She was an amazing women and I know that I wouldn't be the person I am today with out her. She had a big impact on my life. She helped shape my life, my kids lives, and my grandkids lives. She was a very special person and we will miss her.....

More dinners with wonderful friends. We went up to Ralph and Germaine's beautiful home for a great dinner with Tony and Barbara, Z-Man and Marlys. Then the next morning a bike ride on the northwest side of the lake and a great lunch with Jan and Jerry and Pat and Gladys. Z-Man had to take Sparky home because they wouldn't let dogs in. But they had giant attack squirrels everywhere.
Then there was a great ride with Pat, Ralph, and Z-Man (with his new bike) on the power line trail. Then a quick visit to Tony and Barbara treasure chest beach front home. I bet Cole and Reed can hardly wait....

The last days of August had Ali going down to Monterey with her mom and sisters to spread her dad's ashes. Pat held down the fort up in Tahoe. A little tennis with Gabor and Dennis. The last non-taco Tuesday will be held at Diana and Gary's beautiful private beach in Incline Village.
