We hope your year was a little better than 2020.We started the year off with lots of mask wearing and lots of social distancing. For skiing we had to make reservations, but we experience one of the most crowded seasons ever. And I can say most everything we did and everywhere we went it was extremely crowded.Catching everyone up on Pat and Ali’s: all families and everyone is doing well.Ali got to get together with you sisters and their families in a nice reunion.Pat side had a new addition with granddaughter Meagan having her second child, Justin who made Deegan (8) a big brother. The Gaynors are doing well with Reed (20) now going to UCSB and his younger brother Cole (16) in his Junior year at Dublin High.Reed did get to spend a lot of time skiing in Tahoe because of the online education at Chabot College where he graduated with honors. His father Pat is still investing and making money for lots of people. They did lose Sammy who was an amazing dog. The Millers are doing well with Nechia still being the Athletic Director and full time Nana for Rilynn (2) and Carter (1).Grandpa Dan is still working in the construction business but both are starting to plan for the upcoming retirement years. As for Rilynn her parents Steve and Heather are doing well. They live in the San Ramon home and even made a trip to Disney World.Carter’s parents Carlyn and Hunter are enjoying life.Hunter races cars for his hobby while working on their new products.Carlyn is working at her dental office and raising one fine little man. Zack is serving his country in the military and is currently in Kansas.Justin Miller is the tech guy for a school district and is still doing crazy things like flying ultra lights and kites. Our daughter in law, Shellie, got married to Jeff and both live next door to us in Tahoe.Their business “Tahoe Jerky Company” is doing very well.Ali is still working at her hotel (where the wedding was hosted) and was a beautiful event. The Palis still split time between Hawaii and Lake Tahoe but were evacuated for 10 days because of the horrible fires that nearly burned everything close to their condo. We did lots of hiking in both Hawaii & Tahoe and continue to enjoy friends in both locations. There was a turkey bowl this year finally and the Pali’s did their bi-annual Disney trip. This time daughters Nechia and Tammy along with sisters Sharon and Nancy went.Again over crowded conditions existed there too. The highlight of the year for Pat was when grandson Reed surprised him with a visit to Hawaii with his roommates from UCSB. And surfing with them. Pat and his pal Ed won a tennis tournament and Pat completed his 1/2 marathon over in Hawaii again. Plus Ali got purple hair. We hope that 2022 will be better year for all of us.
