There were two hikes this week. A long one and a not so long one. A fun hike via beauty, tragedy (burn zones), and a challenging trail. The hike to Lake Margaret had it all. However, this hike was designed for the wimpy gang. The more "stud"ly hikers did the Elephant Back around to the 4th of July Lake hike which covered more than 16 miles. At first we were not sure it really happened or had real hikers on it. But we did see Markus's truck parked at Mike's house. But since no photos were presented it can't be proven that it actually took place. On September 9th, photos were presented and the hike was officially recognized. Thanks to Thomas Scholz. There are four photos below that show the hike did occur. We see the back of some hikers but only know that Markus and Thomas were part of this hike. All kidding aside, our hats go off to this group of strong hikers and Thomas you photos are great. Thanks.
