The Annual Post Christmas Newsletter from the Palis for the 2012 Year!

OK, so we're not sending out Post Christmas Cards anymore. You'll have to get the info via our annual Christmas Newsletter found in our website. We still have boxes of Christmas Cards we bought after Christmas last year (still getting the deals) but got so lazy we didn't even send them out. We figured if people are really interested in how our year went they would just check out our blog. We'll 2012 was another good year. Pat believes every year he makes it through, above ground, is good. He's still making his 100 days of surfing and skiing. Ali's still trying to adjust to retirement. Pat thinks she doing really well. We spent most of the year living in Lake Tahoe. We only made it for three months over in our Hawaii place (mid April to mid July). Lots of days of hiking, biking, skiing, and eating in Tahoe. In Hawaii they're losts of sunsets, movies, and working out. Ali's spending more time in Modesto with her mom. The sisters are trading off taking care of her. Ali's brother in law Garrad was elected Mayor and should we ever need our parking tickets taken care of, we think we have an "in". Pat staying busy with being a self indulging kid. He does help out various friends with fixing things. His kids are doing fine also: Tammy's kids are Cole 7yrs and Reed 11yrs and are doing great in school and sports. Husband Pat is surviving the economy. In fact since he specializes in shorting stocks, so he does well this type of economy. Nechia's family is growing up. Kids are: Carlyn (17) beautiful as ever and will be graduating this June. Justin (22) is working as a bartender and living the good life. Heather (24) lives on a ranch with boyfriend Steve and is still working the beauty shoppe scene. Husband Dan is still building beautiful homes and Nechia has taken on administrative duties at her school. She's the AD now and is looking pretty fit and is always on the go. Jeff is with his wife Angel and they are stationed in Washington State after returning from Germany before that. His kids are Zack (21) who is stationed in Texas and Meaghan (20) who lives with her mother, Shellie in Pleasant Hill area and works with a different veternarian now. Hope to see more of these two. Zack was the only grandchild who didn't make to the Turkey Bowl this last November because of his military service. We have to say we feel blessed with our extended family in Tahoe. They've been great. We had a great retreat to Joe and Randy's Ranch in September to celebrate Randy turning 60. Pat and Gladys Nobriga our neighbors who allow us to use their mailing address since we can't have mail delivered to our condo complex due to snow problems. (3617 Spruce Ave, So. Lake Tahoe, Ca. 96150). The high point of the year was when Pat climbed Mt. Whitney in August. No literally it's the highest place in the 48 states. Two weeks later he and Ali were at their lowest spot of the year. (Death Valley the lowest spot in the 48 states). This was on their way for a trip to Prescott, Az. for the Hawaii Gang Reunion. The Palis went to their first Oktoberfest in Mt. Angel, Oregon. There's plenty of photos and stories of these adventures and more on our webpage (thepalis.com). We plan on hibernating in Tahoe this winter so come play with us if you'd like to. We always have room for you. Have a great 2013. Love from the Palis...
