Happy Birthday to our son Jeff who would have turned 55 today (6/3/2024). We miss and love you Jeff. Photos from two backpacking trips 15 years apart to Bucks Lake
My all time favorite photo of Jeff and what personified his attitude in Life.
The annual Diamond Head hike
Diamond Head Hikes down through the years: 1990, 2004, 2013, 2014 (w/Rusty&Carmen), 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2024
Today's hike was through the Honolulu Zoo. Even though a lot of the zoo is under construction and repair, there were great things to still see. In the twenty years we've been going to the zoo we have only seen the cheeta once. Today was the second time. Giraffe came up close as did the tiger, rhinoceros, and tortoise.
Our fabulous renter treats us to a fabulous dinner. Thanks Jay
The Pan Pacific Festival is happening in Waikiki and Ali likes her "J" shaped ice cream cone.
Sunday Mass at our church. Front and Back shots.
Not sure about it, but after Mass that morning, I think we got God in the sunset that evening.
Early surf session. Ali took some videos. With surfing pal, Loki. She did better that Pat. A bad day for Pat.
Some videos to show how bad Pat was this morning.
But we went to the Kahala Resort for breakfast and to visit the dolphins and relax on the beach.
The Dolphin Visit
Beach Break
We do the Moanalua Gardens visit. Very big trees. Click here for more photos --> Moana Gardens
You know what makes a sunset even better. A King Tide splashing up against the stone retaining wall.
Happy Father's Day in Hawaii are really great.

Got to spend a day with our renter, Jay. Took us to Bellows Private Beach & met up with his friend Charley.
Dinner at Monkeypod with Chris and Shane. Yum-Yum
Morning hikes. First we did Koko Head. Which is over a thousand railroad ties. But instead of hiking to the top like most people do, we just hiked to bottom and took some photos LOL. Then on to the Makapu'u lower trail hike. Instead of going up and over the hill to the lighthouse, we went down to the coastline. Very windy.
Movie Night on the Beach
The Palis go visit the Pali Lookout and lookout over the view from the Pali Lookout
