This hike was a little more "technical" journey.  Didn't know if we should wear spikes, snowshoes, or hiking boots. We tried all 3 and you needed all three. Unfortunately not everyone had all 3 pieces of equipment.  So there was a lot of taking off and putting on snowshoes and spikes.  There was also a lot of post-hole-ing also. But we did make to the lake. When we got back to the cars, we were pretty proud of our accomplishment.

​The best part of the hike.  And yes this was really the best part of the hike.  We were exhausted. At least those of us who doing the post-hole-ing. Those smart hikers who had snowshoes didn't feel the pain. BTW, Jane holds the record for the deepest post-hole sinking.  But she's tall. Judy sunk in up to her neck. LOL
