But it's always better when it's Pali instead of Pat & Ali. I love you Ali and thank you for being there for me all these years.
40 Years Later

The last couple of days in Sedona we did the Forte Verde Museum, then out of Africa Wildlife tour and then visited Tim and Deedee and then drove down to Scottsdale, Arizona to celebrate Pat's 79th birthday.
Pat turned 79 on April 30th. Similar to his 75 birthday in Kauai, Where he set out to run 7.5 miles, do 75 pushups and finish 75 sit ups to commemorate his 75 years on earth. So when he woke up on his 79th birthday in Scottsdale, Az. he wanted to do 79 instead. He set out to run 7.9 miles first. But since he and Ali have been on a cruise, non exercising time in New Orleans & Las Vegas & now a road trip his older age and lack of training have not been up to par. So the run started out lovely next to a beautiful golf course (see photo below) but he barely made it a mile run. Understanding his age and lack of training, he used his brain instead. So he ended up just running .79 (7/10th) of a mile. Then he tried but couldn't finish his 8th push up or sit up (so he finished 7.9 with each) and he was going to turn it all around with swimming 79 laps in the pool. So he almost made the eighth lap and thought I should keep this new strategy going (so it was 7.9 laps). He has gained a lot of new wisdom in his more senior years. He's adapting well. We'll begin training in May. LOL
