One of our favorite times in life is when the Olympics come around.  Just love the athletes, the spirt, the stories and the people from all over the world coming together in peace to support and partake in the games.

Here's a weird photo of the Palis.  We're sitting on a beach at sunset in Tahoe and Ali turns to me and says, look at that cute couple next to us.  It's a reflection.  Can you see the green bench we're sitting on in the lower left of the photos and the trailer's tire. We thought it was pretty cool. We're always love sunsets.

In honor of the Olympics, we do a triathlon.

Then we get a surprise visit from our grandsons Reed & Cole along with Cole's beautiful girlfriend Emma. We start off with a great dinner at the Pub and then home to watch the Olympics.  They love the Olympics too.

​Sushi night with Pat, Gladys, and Joanne.Then a hike, and a bike ride to go jump in a lake", Then a trip down to the casinos and dinner at Bally's and then some ice cream at Cold Stone to end a great couple of days.

An adventure day for the Palis.  Went to Sugar Pine Park and then to Tahoma for a sandwich.

I remember back in 1971 my daughter Nechia going off to Neil Armstrong Elementary School across the street from our San Ramon home.  Then Nechia watched her daughter Heather walk across the street to the same school. And this week, both Nechia & Heather watched her daughter Rilynn walk across the street to the same elementary school.  Three generations going from the same house to the same school.  Pretty cool.

​Another hike day for the Palis.  Upper Truckee Marsh Trail which goes right along the shore of Lake Tahoe

When Joanne invited us to attend a Cello performance, we thought it would be along the classical style.  Little did we know the "Dirty Cello Band"  performs, country, blue grass, and rock music.  They were great.

​Bike ride to Camp Richarson and Vahalla

This jackpot was a little different than my other ones.  I was down to my last $5 bet and got the royal straight flush.  If you look at the amount of the jackpot and see what I have in my credits.  It's the same.
I was standing up and getting ready to leave, feeling bad that I lost all my money. But on the last pull, I hit the big one.  When the attendant paid me, instead of giving me $4,410.90.  She paid me $4,411 to round up the 90 cents.  I had no money to play the jackpot off, so I put in the $1 and hit a flush and won $5 more .  I then play the $5 amount from winning the flush and I got 4 of a kind. $250 more.  It was just a crazy day. 

Got to go up to North Shore and spend some time with Lydia and T.J. (and Snowy the dog)
