We're back on the island of Kauai. Pat does Na Pali Coastline Hike.   Just part of it.  Rain & wet conditions.

Going for a walk around our resort we stumble upon a Hawaiian Luau performance. Then we sit on the beach watching a dog watch his master go surfing.  A wonderful walk for the evening.  Hawaii is always fun.

 Saturday Hike (Ali and I)

Saturday afternoon adventure.  Since Ali and I are getting old, we worry about falling. At our age falls can be very dangerous.  So we decided to go on a Falls Watch. We visited 3 waterfalls: First was 'Opaeka'a Falls. An easy drive to a lookout point and a quick photo taken.  Then a longer drive down a long twisting road to Wailua Falls.  Then our 3rd one was Ho'opi'i Falls. The falls were OK. But the hike to get to them was scary .

And then the hike to Ho'opi'i Falls which was the scariest of all.  But an exciting adventure for us.

Imagine after a 5 1/2 flight you have to stand in line over 3 hours to get your rental car. Avoid Budget. When driving to our Falls adventure today, we notice one of our tires were low.  Since we were close the the airport and rental car place, we stopped by to get air for the tire. Since gas stations wanted $3 for air.  When we picked up our car last Tuesday, the line was totally inside the building but the wait inside plus the wait outside while you waited for them to drive your car up for you was over an hour. Today the same line we saw with the same 2 unfriendly agents clearly took over 3 hours. There is a way to avoid this. Budget Fast Break.

Our next adventure was Kilauea Lighthouse, Anini Beach, and a quick visit to Hanalei Town

Then dinner at Rusty's with Bev, Austin, Pat, Gladys, us, and Rusty of course.

We're doing a major overhaul on our rental.  Will be moving over to it so we can sell out condo. Hoping to not have to pay capital gains on our sale of our home.  Moving into the rental to do the same in two yeras. Tearing out a tile countertop is really hard. Not having fun, but looking forward exiting the landlord business.

Last month I ran a half marathon in Hawaii and won my age group. Ten years ago I ran an 8 mile trail run and won the 70 age group in Lake Tahoe. Twenty years ago I ran a race in San Francisco and won the over the 60 age group. Ali also ran the same race as did our grand daughter Carlyn along with some other friends. Those are the only races I finished first in (for my age group) for all the years I've been running. Keep Running.

First place in the 80 year old division for half marathon in Hawaii. 

Busy day. Started moving stuff over to the condo. Visited Ronnie, Checked on Joe and Randy' lawn. Walked down Ski Run for the sunset and found the longest dinner table event.
